Focus on the Crocus – End Polio Now!

John Gibson welcomed everyone to the bulb planting by explaining that the bulbs will flower in time for Rotary Day 23 February 2011 – many events will be held worldwide on that day to raise funds to match the billions that have been donated by Bill and Melissa Gates. The money goes to End Polio Now, part of the Thanks for Life project. The aim is to eradicate polio from the world, we’re nearly there and hope that this is the last push that will get rid of the scourge of polio forever.

The photos show many Vigornians, including President Celia Gardner, planting bulbs alongside Cecil Duckworth, the Mayor and Mayoress of Worcester, and Oliver Tomaszczyk, nickname: Tomahawk of Worcester Warriors, position: tighthead prop.

Thanks to all for your efforts – keep it up! Everyone involved is wishing for all the bulbs to flower next year and for many years thereafter.

Pool towels (a charge will be made for every change of towel.)There will be a fee/charge for these facilities: extra cleaning, safe rental and airport shuttle bus. Please contact reception for more information and prices. Minibus to town is also available at a small fee. Please note that due to its hillside location the resort may not be suitable for elderly or disabled guests. The resort now has free WiFi connection available in the bar area.

Nearest Airport: Tenerife South Airport (Reina Sofia), 17.5 km. Tenerife North Airport (Los Rodeos), 85 km.

Directions by Road

From the airport follow signs for Los Cristianos. Take the TF1 motorway south, turning off at the junction sign “Salida 29 San Eugenio. At the end of the sliproad turn right, go round the small roundabout and take the first turn immediately to the right into Calle Finlandiaâ€. You will find the resort situated at the top of the street. GPS coordinates: 28.07514 / -16.72703.

A taxi rank is situated directly outside the arrivals terminal at both airports.

At Utilise It we are doing our bit for the local community by choosing to support local bereavement support group Noah’s Ark Trust. Noah’s Ark Trust provides free-of-charge support to children, young people and their families across Herefordshire and Worcestershire after the death of a significant other. Support is provided by professional staff and trained volunteers on a one to one basis, through group work and activity weekends. With no governmental funding it is crucial to have the support of the local community, like Utilise It, to carry on providing the service they do.

We all want to make extra money so why not rent them out using all the tools and guidance provided by Utilise It. Its easy when you know how and you can generate a surprising amount of money.
